Powerlifting

Update 6/12/25

We are asking all lifters to report at 9:00am on June 24 for instructions and demonstrations.

Events will be held in this order: squat, bench press, and deadlift.  We will work each discipline from oldest competitor and lightest weight to youngest competitor and heaviest weight.

Men will compete in the first session.  Women will follow approximately 1.5 to 2 hours later so we encourage you to
go take a break after demonstrations if desired.

Power Lifting

Basic Rules:

All Power Lifting events will be conducted in accordance with USA Power Lifting rules, except as modified in the TSO rulebook.

Competition takes place between lifters in categories defined by sex, bodyweight, and age.  NOTE: Some categories may be combined depending on participation numbers.

The following competition lifts are recognized and must be taken in the same sequence in all contests:

1) squat, 2) bench press, and 3) deadlift. The “total” is the sum of the heaviest successful attempt on each lift.

Each competitor is allowed three attempts on each lift. The lifter’s best successful attempt on each lift counts.
